Description

• Ensure full compliance with EPA, FDA, DEA, cGMP/cGLP regulations, OSHA standards, and internal SOPs within the QC lab and production environment
• Perform chemical testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, intermediates, finished products, and stability samples
• Review, interpret, and accurately document analytical data, ensuring validity and integrity of results
• Utilize and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation, including chromatography and wet chemistry techniques
• Support laboratory programs such as calibration, preventive maintenance, and equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ)
• Investigate out-of-specification or non-conforming results and execute root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Author and maintain controlled documents, including SOPs, test methods, and technical reports
• Manage lab operations tasks such as inventory, reagent preparation, hazardous waste handling, and maintaining notebooks/records
• Collaborate cross-functionally, communicate project updates, interact with vendors, and assist in training while serving as a subject matter expert when needed

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related scientific field

3+ years in laboratory experience in a cGMP environment

cGMP experience

Strong experience with analytical instrumentation (HPLC/GC)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charles City, IA.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
