Job Description
As a General Production Worker, you will operate unique equipment specific to our facility. While prior experience with this machinery is not expected, you will receive comprehensive training and cross-training across all lines. Your primary responsibilities include measuring large stainless bars and either cutting them to specific lengths or grinding the outside diameter to the required width.
Responsibilities
- Operate unique machinery specific to the facility.
- Measure large pieces of stainless bar accurately.
- Cut bars to specific lengths or grind the outside diameter to specified widths.
- Participate in a comprehensive training and cross-training program.
- Observe operators, band steel, tag lines, and operate overhead cranes.
- Input data into the ERP system.
- Proficiency in data entry and quality checking.
- Experience with machine operation and assembly.
- Familiarity with forklifts, overhead cranes, and various measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication, metal cutting, and blueprint reading.
- Mechanical aptitude, including understanding of hydraulics.
- Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes is advantageous but not required.
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
- Ability to work in a small team environment of approximately 11 employees per shift.

Work Environment
The work environment is a non-climate controlled, metal manufacturing facility. It is a dirty and loud environment, but the company provides personal protective equipment such as earplugs, safety vests, cut-resistant gloves, and hard hats. The facility is smaller in size, fostering a close-knit team atmosphere. You will not be required to lift anything over 50 lbs, as machinery primarily handles the movement of bars. The shift hours are from 3:30 pm to 3:30 am, Monday through Thursday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richburg, SC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
