Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our busy OB/GYN or women's health office in West Hartford. The ideal candidate will assist physicians with all patient interactions, including rooming patients, taking vitals, and managing communication with patients and pharmacies. This role requires medical office experience and a commitment to obtaining CMA/RMA certification within six months.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians with all patient interactions.
  • Room patients and take vitals.
  • Communicate with patients regarding test and lab results.
  • Contact pharmacies for patient medication questions and refills.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and call center activities.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a medical assistant role.
  • Experience in a medical office setting.
  • Commitment to obtaining CMA/RMA certification within six months.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in Women's Health or OB/GYN is a plus.
Work Environment

Work in a busy, high-volume OB/GYN or women's health office in West Hartford. The position requires a strict adherence to an 8 AM start time, with a 40-hour work week, including one late night per week until 6 PM, occasionally until 7:30 PM. The dress code is professional, requiring scrubs, closed-toed shoes, and no piercings. As part of a large women's health organization with 85-90 offices across Connecticut, there is potential for upward mobility and growth as the organization expands into other states like Texas and California.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Hartford, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
