Schedule: 12-hour rotating shift (2 days / 2 nights)

  • Week 1: Mon–Tues (Day), Wed–Thurs (Night)
  • Week 2: Tues–Wed (Day), Thurs–Fri (Night)
  • Week 3: Wed-Thurs (Day), Fri-Sat (Night)
  • Continues rotating forward weekly

Overview / Job Description

A leading manufacturing organization in the food and chemical production space is seeking a Tech II Production Operator to support core production operations. This role is responsible for operating, monitoring, and supporting production processes across fermentation, recovery, blending, and packaging. The position requires strict adherence to GMP, safety, and quality standards while ensuring accurate documentation and efficient production flow. This is a hands-on role involving equipment operation, material handling, and working within controlled environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production equipment across fermentation, recovery, blending, and packaging processes
  • Perform sampling, weighing, mixing, and transporting of raw and finished materials
  • Support operations within aseptic environments, including use of C-tanks and automated systems
  • Assist in recovery processes using centrifuges, spray dryers, and product loading systems
  • Complete material handling, shipping/receiving, and packaging tasks
  • Follow all SOPs, work instructions, GMP, and safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate production and batch documentation
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate as needed
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
  • Lift up to 55 lbs regularly and work in cold environments when required
  • Wear appropriate PPE including respirators as needed


Required Skills

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific/technical field OR High School Diploma with 1–3 years of manufacturing experience
  • Experience in food or chemical manufacturing environments
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to operate production equipment
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs and documentation requirements
  • Understanding of GMP and safety protocols
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

  • Experience with SAP
  • Background in aseptic/fermentation environments

  • Exposure to product loading, blending, and packaging operations
