Candidates with Orton-Gillingham (OG) or Wilson training, a valid Special Education teaching license, or experience as a math or reading-trained tutor are highly encouraged to apply. You’ll provide specialized instruction to diverse learners, adapting curriculum and employing evidence-based strategies to meet each student’s unique needs. Your expertise will help foster a nurturing, inclusive atmosphere during the summer learning session.

Qualifications:

  • Special Education licensure or in-depth knowledge as a math/reading-trained tutor
  • Orton-Gillingham (OG) or Wilson training required
  • Experience working with K–12 students
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Dedication to creating equitable and accessible learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver targeted instruction aligned with each student’s IEP
  • Modify curriculum and adapt teaching methods based on progress and need
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress
  • Contribute to a positive, engaging learning environment

This contract begins July 12th and ends August 13th, with a schedule of four days each week (16 hours total). Compensation is $45–$50 per hour, paid weekly. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, a matching 401k, and a flexible spending account.
