Production Associate I

Norwich, CT

Pay Rate: $19.75 per hour

2nd Shift | Monday-Friday | 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking reliable and motivated Production Associates to join a growing manufacturing team in Norwich, CT. In this role, you will support production operations by operating equipment, assembling and packaging products, performing quality inspections, and helping maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with manufacturing experience as well as individuals looking to build a career in production and manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Operate production equipment safely and efficiently
  • Assemble, package, and label products according to specifications
  • Perform quality inspections on in-process and finished products
  • Complete production documentation accurately
  • Monitor product quality and identify defects or inconsistencies
  • Perform rework on products when necessary
  • Assist with equipment setup and routine maintenance activities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and work instructions
  • Cross-train in other production areas as needed
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals
  • Participate in continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
  • Previous manufacturing, production, or industrial experience preferred
  • Experience using scales or measuring equipment is a plus
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
  • Frequent use of hands and arms throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moving equipment and moderate noise levels
