Job Description
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a dynamic school-based role providing essential occupational therapy services to students needing moderate support. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact throughout the academic year, working on-site in South and Central Seattle. You'll be part of a collaborative team, supporting students’ growth and independence as you put your OT expertise to use in an engaging educational environment.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, active Occupational Therapist license for Washington State
- Valid ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school-based or pediatric setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, parents, and other support staff
- Ability to develop and implement evidence-based therapy plans for students with moderate support needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to students in educational settings, focusing on those requiring moderate support
- Assess students’ functional abilities in collaboration with teachers and other multidisciplinary team members
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor progress toward goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluations and educational plans
- Travel between assigned schools within South and Central Seattle as required
- Keep accurate and timely records, documentation, and reports according to school and district standards
