Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The role involves painting vehicle bodies, assemblies, and parts, performing spray‑booth painting on various assemblies, and ensuring that all painting processes meet specified standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for mixing and applying primers and paints, cleaning and maintaining paint equipment, spray booths, and air systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all surface preparation, including body filling, glazing, sanding, scuffing, and cleaning.
• Set up, adjust, and operate automatic spray equipment and bake cycles to meet coating thickness specifications.
• Interpret and follow prints, sketches, instructions, procedures, and applicable military/commercial specifications.
• Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Engineering, Operations, and other departments throughout production.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety protocols.
• Maintain punctuality for work, meetings, and all scheduled activities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1 year of painting experience
• Ability to read measuring tape down to 1/16"
• Knowledge of paint, painting materials, and characteristics
• Ability to use tools in an elevated position above head
• Must have the ability to grasp and maintain grip for long periods of time with power tools, such as paint guns, air nozzles, and other electric and pneumatic power tools

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
