We are looking for a detail-focused Data Entry Clerk to support a healthcare organization in Norfolk, Virginia. This Contract position is well suited to someone who works accurately, handles high-volume information efficiently, and is comfortable maintaining reliable electronic records. The right candidate will bring strong keyboarding ability, careful attention to detail, and a consistent approach to data quality in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Enter patient, administrative, or operational information into computer systems with a high level of speed and accuracy.
• Review source documents carefully and verify details before updating records to help maintain dependable data quality.
• Process numeric and text-based information while following established formatting, privacy, and documentation standards.
• Identify incomplete, inconsistent, or incorrect entries and escalate issues for correction when needed.
• Organize and maintain electronic files so information is easy to retrieve and remains up to date.
• Support routine reporting and record updates by entering new data, revising existing information, and confirming completed transactions.
• Use office software and database tools to manage data entry tasks efficiently within daily productivity expectations.• At least 2 years of experience in data entry or a closely related administrative support role.
• Strong typing skills with the ability to enter both numeric and text data accurately.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to maintaining precise records.
• Comfortable using computers, databases, and standard office applications in a work setting.
• Ability to manage repetitive tasks while staying focused and organized throughout the workday.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to follow written procedures and established workflows.
• Prior experience working in a healthcare or regulated environment is helpful.
