Job Title: Maintenance Team Lead / Maintenance Lead
Location: Sacramento, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $75,000 – $98,000 annually (DOE)
Schedule: Sunday – Wednesday (4x10 Schedule)
- Day Shift: 5:30 AM start
- Swing Shift: 1:30 PM start
On-Call: Required for emergency situations
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Lead to oversee daily maintenance operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for leading a team of technicians, ensuring safety, quality, and performance goals are met, and coordinating maintenance activities to minimize downtime and support production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise maintenance team members on assigned shift
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all operations
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Assign daily work, distribute work orders, and manage maintenance schedules
- Review and ensure completion of all maintenance, repair, and modification work orders
- Coordinate with Maintenance Planner to prioritize and reschedule work as needed
- Act as the primary point of contact for emergency maintenance issues
- Communicate critical updates, project timelines, and costs to the Maintenance Manager
- Coordinate maintenance activities with operations and external contractors
- Ensure smooth shift transitions by communicating ongoing and completed work
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures
- Monitor inventory and recommend improvements or replacement of obsolete parts
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical Maintenance, or related field
OR 6+ years of electrical or mechanical maintenance experience
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems
- Experience leading teams or supervising maintenance personnel
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
Preferred:
- Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) tools
- Experience in food manufacturing or GMP-regulated environments

- Must be available for on-call support and occasional weekend work
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
