Job Title: Maintenance Team Lead / Maintenance Lead

Location: Sacramento, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $75,000 – $98,000 annually (DOE)
Schedule: Sunday – Wednesday (4x10 Schedule)

• Day Shift: 5:30 AM start
• Swing Shift: 1:30 PM start

On-Call: Required for emergency situations

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Lead to oversee daily maintenance operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for leading a team of technicians, ensuring safety, quality, and performance goals are met, and coordinating maintenance activities to minimize downtime and support production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance team members on assigned shift
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all operations
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Assign daily work, distribute work orders, and manage maintenance schedules
• Review and ensure completion of all maintenance, repair, and modification work orders
• Coordinate with Maintenance Planner to prioritize and reschedule work as needed
• Act as the primary point of contact for emergency maintenance issues
• Communicate critical updates, project timelines, and costs to the Maintenance Manager
• Coordinate maintenance activities with operations and external contractors
• Ensure smooth shift transitions by communicating ongoing and completed work
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures
• Monitor inventory and recommend improvements or replacement of obsolete parts

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical Maintenance, or related field

OR 6+ years of electrical or mechanical maintenance experience

• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems
• Experience leading teams or supervising maintenance personnel
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure

Preferred:

• Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) tools
• Experience in food manufacturing or GMP-regulated environments

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Industrial plant environment with exposure to noise, dust, temperature changes, and machinery
• Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs/ladders, and access tight spaces
• Ability to perform desk work including reporting and data analysis

Additional Requirements

• Must be available for on-call support and occasional weekend work
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
