Join a dynamic team as a Pharmacy Technician, where you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service by effectively managing insurance communications, processing pharmacy claims, and supporting patients in accessing their medications.
Responsibilities
- Recognize and effectively communicate about insurance types and their appropriate utilization.
- Enter all communication and documentation in the Biologics Management Information System (MIS).
- Assist with projects such as yearly reverification.
- Communicate with patients to gather appropriate insurance information.
- Triage prescriptions to preferred pharmacies or HUB providers when necessary.
- Process pharmacy claims accurately in Biologics MIS.
- Understand pharmacy claim responses and take appropriate actions.
- Manage inbound calls from patients, clients, physicians, and payors regarding patient updates and services.
- Identify and report adverse events (AEs) and product complaints (PCs) to clinicians.
- Manage and respond to internal written communications and requests via chat or email.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- CPhT certification
- Pharmacy technician certification
- Customer service skills
- Experience with prior authorizations
- Ability to recognize and communicate insurance types
- 1+ years of related experience
- Minimum of an associate degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of related experience
- Registered Technician preferred
This position is onsite in Cary, NC, within an office environment. Work shifts range from Monday to Friday between 9am-6pm, 10am-7pm, or 11am-8pm EST. The office is closed on weekends and major holidays, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule. Although there is no direct patient contact, you will be part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team dedicated to helping patients with rare diseases. There is potential for this assignment to lead to permanent employment with a rapidly growing specialty pharmacy.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
