Location: Scottsbluff, NE

Job Type: 13 Weeks Contract + Possible Extensions

Shift: 12 hours - Varied Shift (Both days and Nights rotation)

Expected Hours: 36 Hours per Week

 

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join a dynamic critical care team. This position requires the ability to provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients while floating between ICU, PCU, and Telemetry units as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for critically ill patients.
  • Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Provide care for patients with complex medical, surgical, and cardiovascular conditions.
  • Administer medications, blood products, and specialized treatments according to physician orders.
  • Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Operate and monitor critical care equipment and telemetry systems.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with facility standards.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge needs.
  • Float to ICU, PCU, and Telemetry units based on patient care and staffing requirements.
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU Registered Nurse experience.
  • Active Nebraska or Compact state Registered Nurse (RN) License.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
