Job Description:

The Radiologic Technologist/CT Tech must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Provide radiographic CT examination of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation.
• Perform diagnostic medical radiography/sonography within department and other areas.
• Maintain patient records and files.
• Assume responsibility for departmental quality assurance program.
• Pursue continuing education.
• Transfer patient to and from radiology.
• Rotate shifts as required.
• Follow policies and procedures as set by administration.
• Assume responsibility of department in absence of supervisor.
• Assist with invasive procedures and be knowledgeable thereof.
• Set up and run automatic injector and alter routine protocols.
• Ensure accurate patient procedure image labeling and review PACS.

Requirements:

• MUST HAVE CT CERTIFICATION.
• Flu vaccine required.
• Current ARRT in CT certification is required.
• Able to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality.
