Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment on the beautiful island of Kauai. This role provides respiratory care services to patients across multiple age groups, including adult, pediatric, neonatal, and critically ill populations.

The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, managing ventilators, performing respiratory assessments, and providing advanced respiratory treatments in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
Assess, evaluate, and treat patients with respiratory disorders
Administer respiratory therapies and medications as prescribed
Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation and life-support equipment
Perform arterial blood gas collection and analysis
Participate in emergency response and cardiopulmonary resuscitation teams
Conduct pulmonary function testing and pulse oximetry monitoring
Provide patient and family education regarding respiratory treatments and disease management
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
Required Qualifications
Active Hawaii Respiratory Therapist License
Minimum 5 Years of Respiratory Therapy Experience
Current BLS Certification
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
Preferred Experience
Critical Care Experience
Mechanical Ventilation Management
Emergency Airway Management
Pediatric and Neonatal Respiratory Care
Pulmonary Function Testing
Sleep Study/Polysomnography Experience
