Title: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)

Location: Seattle, WA 98104
Schedule: 5x8 Evening Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $30/hr - $35/hr based on 40 hrs shift

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) in Seattle, Washington. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in acute care settings, Level I trauma facilities, robotic instrumentation, and endoscope reprocessing. Candidates must possess at least three years of overall SPT experience and a minimum of two years of travel experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform decontamination, assembly, wrapping, and container pan processing.
  • Assemble and inspect instrument trays and surgical sets.
  • Process orthopedic, spine, neuro, vascular, eye, cardiac, and urology instruments.
  • Reprocess flexible endoscopes including bronchoscopes, colonoscopes, and EGD scopes.
  • Operate washers, sterilizers, and perform high-level disinfection procedures.
  • Conduct biological and chemical indicator testing and sterilization monitoring.
  • Handle robotic and ultrasound instrumentation, including DaVinci systems.
  • Maintain accurate equipment documentation and instrument tracking.
  • Meet department productivity expectations of 24 trays per shift.
  • Participate in weekend call coverage as needed.
Preferred Experience
  • CRCST certification.
  • Strong orthopedic and spine instrumentation background.
  • Experience processing neuro, vascular, cardiac, eye, and urology instruments.
  • Familiarity with T-Doc instrument tracking system.
  • Experience with Sterrad sterilization equipment.ce required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of travel experience required.
  • Experience in Level I and Level II Trauma Centers required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification required.
  • Experience with robotic instrumentation and ultrasound equipment required.
  • Experience with scope reprocessing and high-level disinfection.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • EPIC experience required.
