American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position in California, requiring a CA RN license, 2 years of recent OR experience, and availability for on-call shifts including weekends and holidays.
Details- 13-week contract in a community hospital Operating Room setting
- Day shift schedule, working 4x10-hour shifts with start times of either 6:45 AM–5:15 PM or 8:30 AM–7:00 PM
- Surgical specialties include General Surgery, Orthopedics, Spine, Urology, Robotics, OB/GYN (C-sections), and Plastic Surgery
- On-call is required: overnights on weekdays, 24-hour availability on weekends, and 24-hour availability on holidays (approximately 1 weekday per week and 1 weekend per month, totaling 6 calls per month)
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience in a community hospital or Trauma Level II facility
- Minimum 2 years of circulating experience in a community hospital setting
- Experience across multiple surgical specialties required: General Surgery, Orthopedics, Spine, Urology, Robotics, OB/GYN (C-sections), and Plastic Surgery
- Conscious sedation experience required
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the contract
