Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Weekends Required: 2 weekends every 6 weeks
Duration: 13 weeks
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Case Manager/Utilization Review with at least 2 years of recent acute care Medical-Surgical experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient care, conducting utilization reviews, assessing the appropriateness of services, and ensuring efficient resource management. This role requires strong clinical judgment, knowledge of regulatory guidelines, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support quality patient outcomes and cost-effective care.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- • Review patient charts and clinical documentation to assess medical necessity and appropriate level of care.
• Coordinate patient care plans and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Perform utilization reviews to ensure compliance with hospital, regulatory, and payer requirements.
• Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate post-acute services to support continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and advocate for quality, cost-effective patient outcomes.

Requirements:
- Valid CA State RN license
- Most updated Resume
BLS Certified through AHA
2-year acute Hospital Case Manager experience performing Care Coordination, Discharge Planning in a very fast paced environment.
