Trailer Technician/Mechanic – Syracuse, New York

$28.00 - $32.00 hr | Weekly Pay | Full Benefits within 30 Days | $500 Sign-On Bonus, $2500 6 month retention, $2500 12 month retention

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled Trailer Technician/Mechanic to join our team in Syracuse, New York.

Pay & Schedule SRT Bonus Opportunity; up to $15,000 annually; paid monthly and based on performance.

Pay: $28.00 – $32.00/hour (based on experience)
Pay Frequency: Weekly pay – every Friday
Schedule: 2 Schedules Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday

We promote from within to 1st shift ONLY

2 shifts Open: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm or 10:00 pm - 6:30 am

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailers
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
• Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years’ of hands-on experience performing class 7 - 8 trailer maintenance and repairs
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position (detailed below)
• Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)
