Position SummaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Inclusion Activities Coordinator to plan and lead engaging recreational and community-based activities for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, organized, and passionate about making a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and lead inclusive recreational activities and community outings
- Adapt activities to meet individual needs, abilities, and goals
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all participants
- Coordinate logistics including transportation, scheduling, and accessibility
- Collaborate with staff and leadership to support participant engagement
- Communicate effectively with participants, staff, and families
- Support individuals during outings, including assistance with meals and personal care as needed
- Gather feedback to improve future programming
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to plan and coordinate events or activities
- Flexible, dependable, and team-oriented
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (ability to drive agency vehicles)
- Ability to assist with lifting and physical support of participants (up to 35 lbs; 2-person assist as needed)
- Ability to pass background checks in accordance with NJ Department of Human Services
- Compliance with Central Registry and Child Abuse Registry requirements
