Job Description

Environmental Project Scientist – Environmental Consulting & Remediation

EnviroTrac LLC is seeking an Environmental Project Scientist with 3-5 years of experience to join our Warrendale, PA team. This full-time role involves working in the field on a variety of environmental projects with opportunities for professional growth.

Mid-level Environmental Scientist candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in environmental science, geology, and engineering.

Mid-level responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing and overseeing field inspections per approved engineering drawings or permits (E&S, SPCC)
  • Client communications
  • Environmental site assessments
  • Performing air, soil, and groundwater monitoring/sampling
  • Underground storage tank (UST) closure oversight
  • First responder to spill responses
  • Surveying
  • Management and oversight of subcontractors including monitoring well installation and soil borings
  • Writing and completing QA/QC on all field documentation
  • Knowledge with operation and maintenance on soil and groundwater remediation systems
  • Knowledge of local and state regulations

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong working knowledge of Pennsylvania’s Brownfields Redevelopment Program (Act 2), Storage Tank Program (Chapters 245/250), and Oil and Gas Program (Chapter 78). Familiarity with New Jersey environmental regulations and guidance is considered an asset.

Candidates should also possess a current 40-hour OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification. Additional qualifications such as API certification, CPR training, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to travel locally are required.
