SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our skilled nursing facility team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' speech and language abilities.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, targeting specific speech, language, and swallowing goals.

  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to, articulation therapy, language development therapy, voice therapy, and cognitive training.

  • Monitor and document patients' progress and make adjustments to treatment plans, as necessary.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nurses, to coordinate patient care.

  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about speech and language disorders, treatment strategies, and home exercises.

  • Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patients' progress and make recommendations for discharge planning.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • New passers/graduates and CF supervision are welcome.

  • Previous experience as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech Therapist (ST) is a plus.

  • With Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care experience is a plus.

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

  • Active CPR Certification.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).

  • Is in good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards is required.

  • Interest in working with the geriatric population.

  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
