Job Description
Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Worksite: 187 Warren G. Medley Dr, Dickson, TN
Contract Duration: June 8, 2026 – July 31, 2026
Schedule: 34 Hours Per Week / Hours Per Day: 6.80 ~ 7.0
Clinic operating hours are:
- Monday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Thursday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Friday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Pay Rate: $24.00/hr (Paid Weekly)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support an employer-based health clinic in Dickson, TN. This role is responsible for assisting providers with patient evaluations, clinical assessments, care coordination, and front-office support while delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinic environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and phlebotomy skills, prior experience in a physician office or clinic setting, and the ability to work independently while providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population.
- Assist physicians with the evaluation and management of patients presenting to the clinic
- Perform patient assessments and accurately document findings within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Support the development and coordination of individualized care plans
- Implement physician orders and ensure timely follow-up
- Process medication refill requests and communicate treatment recommendations
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, medications, and preventive care
- Identify opportunities for preventive screenings and wellness initiatives
- Communicate test results and clinical updates to patients as directed by providers
- Obtain and record vital signs and patient histories
- Prepare patients for examinations and in-office procedures
- Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing, including:
- Influenza testing
- Strep testing
- COVID-19 testing
- Urine dipstick testing
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and assist with front-office workflow
- Answer phones, greet patients, and provide exceptional customer service
- Maintain exam room supplies and ensure clinical areas remain organized and stocked
- Collaborate effectively with providers and other departments to resolve patient care concerns
- Perform additional duties within the LPN scope of practice as assigned
Patient Volume
- Approximately 3–5 patients per day
- Includes both office visits and laboratory services
- Primarily English-speaking patient population with occasional Spanish-speaking patients
Required Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Tennessee
- Certificate in Practical Nursing from an accredited program
- Current CPR Certification
- Current First Aid Certification
- Minimum one year of experience in a clinic, physician office, or outpatient setting
- Strong phlebotomy and specimen collection skills
- Experience with patient assessments, care coordination, and medication management
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR) systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
