This assignment places you in a hospital setting supporting interventional radiology procedures in a high-volume unit.

Responsibilities
- Support interventional radiology procedures: prepare rooms, position patients, assist radiologists, scrub in, and maintain sterile technique throughout cases.
- Operate imaging systems used in IR procedures and ensure patient safety, image quality, and documentation of procedures.
- Manage room turnover between cases and assist with instrument handling and urgent supply needs.
- Adhere to radiation safety practices and ALARA principles; monitor radiation exposure for staff and patients.
- Maintain clear communications with the IR team, coordinate patient flow, and assist with post-procedure patient care and transport as appropriate.
- Work within a fast-paced, siloed IR unit and support related IR services as needed; may float to related IR areas when required.
- Use Siemens Artis single-plane systems (Artis icono, Artis Q, Artis zee) in accordance with facility protocols.
Requirements
- ARRT Radiography certification (in hand)
- Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license (can apply once offered)
- 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience; scrub experience required
- 3 years IR experience preferred, with large-hospital exposure and peripheral/neurovascular experience considered
- Ability to work 10-hour shifts in a high-volume IR setting
- Orientation: Monday–Tuesday sessions; nursing orientation Wednesday–Friday (bi-weekly)
