Physical Therapist

Responsibilities:

• Promotes Elara Carings philosophy, mission statement and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
• Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and consults with other specialists.
• Designs and implements plans of care based on thorough assessments and incorporates participation by significant others when appropriate.
• Conducts therapy practice within defined standards of care.
• Directs and assists support staff to achieve patients functional goals.
• Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans, updating documentation and maintaining prescriptions and signatures.
• Provides direction and leadership to staff and acts as a resource to promote physical therapy in the community.
• Physically demanding environment requiring a full range of body motion including handling, lifting, and transferring patients.
• May work irregular hours including on-call hours.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved physical therapy program.
• Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license valid for the state of work.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a healthcare facility.
• Able and willing to travel within branch or office coverage area.
• Dependable vehicle, valid drivers license, and current auto insurance as required by state law.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds.
