Certified Surgical Technologist - CVOR

Location: Plantation, Florida

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts with on-call requirements, approximately every other day and every other weekend

Candidate Pay Rate:  $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons before, during, and after complex open heart procedures with precision and care
• Scrub in for CABG, MVR, AVR, pacemaker insertions, and laser lead extractions
• Support minimally invasive cardiac procedures including TVAR and mitral clip standbys
• Provide lunch relief coverage across multiple specialties including vascular, robotics, and neuro/spine
• Prepare and maintain specialized open heart instrumentation and supplies
• Collaborate with RNs and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in acute CVOR setting
• Proven ability to scrub assist in open heart cases
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential preferred
• Experience with open heart instrumentation and cardiac procedures

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in cardiovascular surgical procedures and protocols
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced cardiac surgery environments
• Knowledge of minimally invasive cardiac procedures preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
