Job Title: Telemetry Technician
Location: New York, NY (10029)
Assignment Type: Travel Contract
Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Technician to support a high-acuity healthcare environment in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ECG monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and dysrhythmia recognition within a hospital setting.

• Perform continuous ECG monitoring and accurate cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Identify and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and rhythm changes.
• Initiate code procedures and document cardiac rhythms during emergencies.
• Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) with correct electrode placement.
• Troubleshoot monitoring equipment and respond to alarms promptly.
• Enter and verify physician orders in the electronic medical record system.
• Retrieve and communicate critical lab results to nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per facility standards.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and care teams.
• Ensure safe and proper operation of telemetry and monitoring equipment.

• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry/Monitor Technician experience in a hospital setting
• Current Telemetry Technician Certification (Required)
• Current BLS Certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of a Dysrhythmia Course
• Strong ECG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition skills
• Ability to work every other weekend
