Shipping & Receiving Associate – 2nd Shift

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, in partnership with a leading bag manufacturing company in the Union, IL area, is currently seeking a full-time Shipping & Receiving Associate for a climate-controlled facility. Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $16.50 per hour
• Shift: 2nd Shift
• Hours: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
• Days: Monday through Friday
• Required PPE: Steel-toe shoes or boots

Job Responsibilities

• Receive and verify package counts from carriers including UPS, FedEx, DHL, and other delivery services.
• Process and ship orders through UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, and other carriers.
• Coordinate with logistics personnel to prepare and ship Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) and Full Truckload (FTL) shipments.
• Verify correct bag selection and quantities for all plain bag orders.
• Identify and prevent shipment errors before products leave the facility.
• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

QualificationsExperience

• Inventory control experience preferred.
• Shipping and receiving experience preferred.
• Forklift/fork truck operating experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Experience with inventory control, computers, fork truck driving, and shipping. Strong interpersonal skills required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of shipping logistics and warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with shipping software and computer systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
