Dental Hygienist

About the Role We are looking for a licensed Dental Hygienist to join our team and provide exceptional preventive oral care to our patients. You'll work closely with our dentists to deliver a comfortable, high-quality experience while educating patients on maintaining optimal oral health.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing

• Take and review dental X-rays and document findings

• Screen patients for oral diseases and conditions (gum disease, oral cancer, etc.)

• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care

• Review and update patient medical/dental histories

• Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants

• Collaborate with dentists on patient care plans

• Maintain accurate patient records in the practice management system

• Sterilize and prepare instruments and treatment areas per infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene

• Active state dental hygienist license (required)

• CPR/BLS certification

• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control standards

• Excellent communication and patient relations skills

• Experience with dental software a plus
