Austin Texas Occupational Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity

Diagnose and treat work-related injuries, perform pre-placement DOT physicals, and conduct public safety and surveillance examinations for diverse private companies and government agencies. Evaluate and manage urgent care patients on a walk-in basis, perform in-office procedures, communicate effectively with employers, and offer medical guidance. Maintain professionalism with welcoming, skillful, and respectful behaviors at all times. Complete all documentation accurately and promptly.

Opportunity Highlights

• Occupational Medicine locum tenens role
• Location: Austin, Texas
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
• Setting: Outpatient clinic environment
• Coverage: Wednesdays, with additional coverage for PTO as needed

Schedule Details

• Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM initially; may extend to 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM when clinic hours expand
• Shifts: Standard weekly coverage on Wednesdays, flexible as needed

Clinical Scope

• Diagnosis and treatment of work-related injuries
• Conducting pre-placement Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examinations
• Performing urgent care walk-in evaluations
• In-office procedures
• Communicating with employers regarding patient care and guidance
• Timely completion of all required documentation

Requirements

• MD degree
• Active Texas medical license
• DOT certification prior to start
• Experience with occupational medicine or related outpatient settings preferred
• BLS certification preferred
