This assignment involves providing emergency medicine coverage at a busy, level 3 trauma center within a regional hospital setting, supporting multiple campuses and a broad patient population.

Opportunity Highlights

• Emergency Medicine locum tenens role
• Support at Winchester, Shenandoah, and Warren campuses
• Level 3 trauma center with 495 beds
• Shift times: 7 am–7 pm, 9 am–9 pm, 11 am–11 pm, 1 pm–1 am, 7 pm–7 am
• Cross-credentialed at multiple sites
• EMR: EPIC
• Coverage needed for cross-credentialed NP/PA providers
• Supportive clinical environment with diverse patient presentations

Schedule Details

Clinical Scope

• Emergency department evaluation, stabilization, treatment, and discharge planning
• Management of acute medical and traumatic presentations
• Collaboration with emergency physicians, nursing staff, and support personnel
• Orders, documentation, and patient management within EPIC EMR
• Handling a broad spectrum of emergency cases in a high-volume ED

Requirements

• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Virginia
• Active VA nursing license
• Certification in BLS and ACLS
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
• Prior emergency medicine or urgent care experience preferred
• Cross-credentialed at Winchester, Shenandoah, and Warren regional facilities
