Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Oregon-licensed board-certified Obstetrics and Gynecology physicians for a locum tenens role at a small community hospital in Portland, Oregon. This assignment offers the opportunity to work in a close-knit facility with a manageable patient volume and the autonomy to support patients of all ages.
Opportunity Highlights
- Obstetrics and Gynecology locum tenens assignment
- Support staff includes CNMs, CRNA for anesthesia, and existing full-time OB/GYNs
- Shift: 24-hour off-site beeper call (7 a.m. - 7 p.m.), with options for clinic work
- Supportive environment with potential for solo OB coverage as needed
- EMR: Epic
- Hospital: 40-bed volume, approximately 15 patients per month
- Clinical duties include obstetric and gynecological procedures, including laparoscopic GYN cases
Schedule Details
- Start date: As soon as credentialed, less than 30 days preferred
- Contract length: 3 months with possible extension
- Coverage needed: 2-4 weeks per month
- Day shifts available, 5x8 hours (7:00 am - 3:00 pm)
Clinical Scope
- Management and delivery of obstetric and gynecological cases
- Support of all ages with a patient census of approximately 18-22 clinic patients daily
- Performing laparoscopic gynecological procedures
- On-call coverage for deliveries (1-2 per day) and emergencies
- Collaboration with CNMs, anesthesia team, and existing OB/GYN staff
- Support for weekend call duties (variable frequency based on volume)
Requirements
- MD degree with Board Certification in OB/GYN
- Active Oregon medical license
- DEA certification
- Minimum of 2 years OB/GYN clinical experience
- Proven competency in laparoscopic GYN procedures

- Experience working in small facility or solo OB environments
- Ability to handle full scope OB and GYN cases with independence
