Material Handler - Now Hiring

Our client, a leading organization in the recycling and manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be an essential part of the operations team supporting the efficient movement and organization of recyclable materials. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, physical stamina, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Des Moines, IA

Pay Range: $20.80/hour

Shift: 12:30pm-8:30pm Monday-Friday

What's the Job?

• Move bales of cardboard, paper, and other recyclable materials within the shred area
• Organize bales into a "stair step" configuration for efficient processing
• Perform manual labor tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs and moving freight or stock
• Utilize lift truck equipment to assist with material handling when qualified
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following safety protocols

What's Needed?

• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods
• Experience with lift trucks is preferred, but not mandatory
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Steal-toed boots with puncture-proof inserts
• Provided gloves, hard hat, and earplugs for safety
