Shred Technicia - Now Hiring

Our client, an industry leader in secure document destruction and recycling, is seeking a Shred Technician to join their team. As a Shred Technician, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the shredding and destruction process. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, safety consciousness, and a strong work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Shred Technician

Location: Des Moines, IA

Pay Range: $16.00

Shift: 7:30AM - 04:00PM Monday-Friday

What's the Job?

• Process and destroy all delivered materials in accordance with safety and security policies
• Sort and shred materials by grade, ensuring contaminants are discarded properly
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on shredding equipment as authorized
• Maintain strict chain of custody over customer materials and verify accuracy of deliveries
• Assist with training new staff and support safety and security compliance

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in operations or manufacturing
• Ability to lift heavy materials (70-100 lbs) and operate equipment safely
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and safety consciousness
