Special Education Teacher - Lakewood, Ohio

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio K-12 Intervention Specialist (IS) License
• Experience supporting students with varied learning needs in K-8
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt instructional approaches to diverse learners
• Collaborative mindset for working with teachers, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to a diverse caseload of K-8 students
• Modify curriculum and support materials to meet the unique academic, behavioral, and social needs of each student
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers and related service providers
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and safe classroom environment
• Engage with families to share progress, strategies, and support resources
• Maintain accurate records and progress monitoring, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations
