School Speech Language Pathologist - Jarratt, VA

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Valid state SLP license (or eligibility for licensure)
• School-based experience preferred, with understanding of IEP process and educational services
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students
• Develop individualized treatment plans and implement therapy sessions, both individual and group
• Collaborate with educators, psychologists, and families to support IEP goals
• Document progress, maintain detailed records, and contribute to IEP meetings
• Provide training and resources to teachers and families for student support
• Stay current with best practices in school-based speech-language pathology
