Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is perfect for educators who are passionate about making a difference, with the option to begin early by joining our Extended School Year (ESY) program starting July 6th.

You’ll work closely alongside a fellow teacher in a classroom setting dedicated to English Language Arts. Your students will be referred from local districts, providing an invaluable chance to implement focused interventions and empower learners who thrive with personalized supports.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current teaching certification in Special Education or General Education (Special Education experience preferred)
  • Familiarity with supporting students with moderate behavioral challenges
  • Experience with high school English Language Arts curriculum
  • Strong collaborative skills to partner successfully with co-teachers and support staff
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, safe, and structured classroom environment
  • Flexibility and patience when responding to diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-plan and deliver targeted ELA instruction to a high school caseload
  • Adapt curriculum and assessment strategies to meet IEP goals and individual learning styles
  • Monitor student progress, track data, and maintain accurate records per district and compliance requirements
  • Develop positive classroom routines and behavioral interventions consistent with school protocols
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support services to promote student success
