Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Vertical Lathe CNC Machinist to join our team. This role involves working with cutting-edge thermoplastic materials in a state-of-the-art facility, dedicated to producing high-performance products used in various industries.
Responsibilities
- Utilize ERP software for data collection and time logging.
- Interpret work orders, flow sheets, and part drawings to determine job specifications.
- Perform manual inspections using equipment to verify blueprint dimensions.
- Load and verify tools and fixtures, and create basic fixtures as needed.
- Manage material from staging areas, ensuring accuracy with work orders.
- Set up and operate 3-axis mills and basic 2-axis lathe work.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality system requirements.
- Upload and download programs to machines from programmers.
- Align vices and find the center of fixtures accurately.
- Submit first article and final inspections to Quality Assurance.
- Run production parts and conduct in-process inspections.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the workspace, adhering to 5S principles.
- Perform routine machine preventative maintenance.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure successful job completion.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
- This is a safety-sensitive position.
Essential Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of ERP software.
- 3-5 years of CNC machining experience or CNC certification plus 1-2 years of experience.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and using manual inspection gauges.
- Skills in editing and writing CNC programs.
- Basic math skills, with preferred knowledge in trigonometry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to stand for long periods.

Work Environment
This role operates within a high-performance facility dedicated to the production of superior thermoplastic materials. Work hours are Monday through Friday, with shifts available from 6am to 2:30pm or 4pm to 12:30am. The dress code includes the use of provided safety gear, such as steel toe boots.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.
