Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into an impactful role supporting students as a Physical Therapist in a vibrant school setting near New Bedford, MA. This contract opportunity runs from now through August 7th, with the potential for renewal based on need and performance. With a schedule of 37 hours per week, you'll play a key part in helping students achieve their physical milestones and improve their overall well-being during a critical time in their academic and personal growth.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
  • Competency in assessments, IEP development, and goal setting for students
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, teachers, and families
  • Ability to adapt therapy plans based on individual needs and evolving situations

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans for K-12 students
  • Collaborate closely with special education teams to ensure students receive the best possible care
  • Facilitate both group and individual therapy sessions, focusing on mobility and motor skill development
  • Track and document student progress in compliance with school and regulatory standards
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings and provide guidance to educational staff and parents
