Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This onsite contract opportunity offers you the chance to work with a dedicated team, champion diverse learners, and positively impact student growth in a dynamic educational setting near Dover, PA.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering an inclusive environment, and collaborating closely with fellow educators and families. The assignment begins with an inservice for staff on July 7, followed by instructional days for students from July 8 to July 30 (Monday through Thursday, 8:15am–11:45am). There’s also the exciting possibility to extend your role into the 2026-2027 school year, during which instruction hours will be 7:45am–3:15pm.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
  • Prior experience teaching in special education settings, preferably in K-12 schools
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
  • Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for supporting students’ academic and social-emotional growth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver individualized and small group instruction based on students’ IEPs
  • Evaluate student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with related service providers, families, and other educational staff
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Participate in professional development and staff meetings as required
