Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as an onsite Special Education Teacher for an Extended School Year (ESY) assignment. Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs during ESY programming
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that nurtures academic growth and social development
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to foster student progress and engagement
- Track and report student progress, maintaining thorough documentation in accordance with district guidelines
- Communicate regularly with families about student achievements and needs
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification
- Experience working with students with varying abilities in a school-based setting is highly desired
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs effectively
- Strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and individualized instruction
- Outstanding communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Assignment Details:
- Inservice training for staff: July 7, 2026
- Student instructional days: July 8, 2026 – July 30, 2026 (Monday–Thursday, 8:15am–11:45am)
- Opportunity for assignment extension into the 26/27 academic year (hours: 7:45am–3:15pm)
- Onsite position at a reputable learning center
