Job Description
LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling vendor accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, review, process, verify, and reconcile vendor invoices to ensure timely and accurate payment.
  • Reconcile processed transactions by verifying entries and comparing system reports to account balances.
  • Analyze invoice and expense reports, coding and charging expenses to the appropriate accounts and cost centers.
  • Monitor payment schedules, identify discount opportunities, and prepare payments while ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and vendor payments.
  • Maintain vendor records, including verification of tax identification information and account details.
  • Ensure credit is received for outstanding credit memos and vendor adjustments.
  • Process stop-payment requests and purchase order amendments as necessary.
  • Review and process employee expense reports and reimbursement requests.
  • Maintain accounting records and ledgers by accurately posting and verifying financial transactions.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances or discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for accounting documentation.
  • Manage petty cash transactions and ensure proper documentation and reconciliation.
  • Assist with sales and use tax reporting by calculating and tracking tax requirements on paid invoices.
  • Safeguard confidential financial and company information.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  • Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of Accounts Payable, Accounting, or related experience.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable processes, invoice processing, and reconciliations.
  • Experience with ERP or accounting software preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
Pay Details: $24.00 to $25.00 per hour
