Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a difference this summer in the lives of exceptional students by partnering with an innovative educational team near York, PA! This is an onsite Special Education teaching role focused on an Extended School Year (ESY) program, with the potential to continue into the upcoming academic year.

The ESY term begins with an inservice day on July 7th, 2026, followed by instructional sessions for students from July 8th through July 30th, Monday through Thursday. Daily hours for this summer assignment are approximately 8:15am–11:45am, supporting a great work-life balance. For the 2026/2027 school year, hours shift to a full-time schedule: 7:45am–3:15pm.

Desired Experience & Skills:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state-specific credentials required)
• Passion for supporting diverse learners of varying abilities
• Previous classroom or resource room experience preferred
• Effective communication skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Adaptability to meet the needs of each individual student
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation best practices

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction to students with special needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, support staff, and fellow teachers
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress notes, and reports
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
