Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

The classroom maintains a robust support system, with two teachers present at all times, ensuring shared expertise and consistent guidance for students.
This role emphasizes a strong focus on English Language Arts, providing the chance to foster growth both academically and personally for students who benefit from individualized attention. Both general education and special education certifications are accepted, though experience supporting students with special needs is especially valued.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active teaching certification in general or special education
- Experience working with adolescents, particularly those with special needs or behavioral challenges, preferred
- Ability to collaborate and maintain a positive, adaptive classroom environment
- Confidence teaching English Language Arts at the high school level
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging ELA instruction tailored to diverse learner needs
- Work closely with a co-teacher to create a safe and structured classroom
- Adapt curriculum for individualized education plans
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, and related service providers
- Uphold school policies and foster a positive learning atmosphere
