Special Education Teacher in Hanover, PA

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact as an onsite Special Education Teacher supporting learners during an ESY (Extended School Year) assignment with the opportunity to continue into the 26/27 school year. This contract position will allow you to work closely with students in a dedicated environment, helping each child reach their maximum potential.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Previous experience working in special education environments preferred
• Ability to quickly build rapport with diverse learners and collaborate with colleagues
• Strong classroom management and creative problem-solving abilities
• Committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom culture

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction in accordance with each student’s IEP and program goals
• Create and maintain a nurturing, organized classroom environment
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to support student success
• Collect and document progress data in line with school and district procedures
• Attend required staff development and inservice sessions, including inservice on 7/7/26
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons during student instructional days, Monday through Thursday from 8:15am – 11:45am (during the ESY period: 7/8/26 to 7/30/26)
• For the potential 26/27 school year extension, work Monday through Friday from 7:45am – 3:15pm
