American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week day shift contract in Colorado, performing general, OB/GYN, breast, and vascular ultrasound exams with no call, weekends, or holidays required.
Details- Diagnostic imaging department at a district hospital in Yuma, Colorado
- Modalities include general abdominal, OB/GYN, breast, and vascular/arterial ultrasound
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30/5:00 PM — no call, no weekends, and no holidays
- 13-week contract
- Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience required
- Current ARRT(R) or ARDMS certification (OB, NE, BR, or AB) required
- Current BLS/BCLS certification required
- Current compliance with continuing medical education (CME) required
- Ability to work independently performing ultrasound exams across multiple modalities
- Active state license required if applicable
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
- Perform general diagnostic ultrasound exams including abdominal, OB/GYN, breast, and vascular/arterial studies
- Evaluate, synthesize, and communicate diagnostic findings to referring physicians and radiologists
- Responsible for patient safety and well-being within the imaging department
- Troubleshoot ultrasound equipment and coordinate with service engineers for repairs as needed
- Willingness to cross-train into other imaging modalities is expected
- Organizes daily work schedule and performs related clerical duties, including patient scheduling
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and the healthcare team
