Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for a wide range of inpatient surgical procedures
• Manage general surgical and neurosurgical anesthesia cases
• Deliver deep sedation and monitored anesthesia care (MAC)
• Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments and patient evaluations
• Educate patients regarding anesthesia plans and perioperative expectations
• Administer anesthetic agents and continuously monitor patient status throughout procedures
• Manage ventilation and airway support during surgical cases
• Oversee physician-administered regional anesthesia services
• Respond to perioperative emergencies and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for primarily adult patients with limited pediatric exposure
• Complete accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs

Practice Environment

• Hospital-based setting within a Level I Trauma Center

Patient Population
