Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting their social-emotional and behavioral success in a collaborative school environment. This full-time, onsite contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work across multiple districts with K-12 students, providing specialized behavioral support and coaching to both staff and families. You’ll have the chance to share your expertise in Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), develop and implement effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and work alongside an engaged team committed to student achievement.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required
  • Current Kansas State Teaching License with appropriate endorsement
  • Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, Behavioral Specialist, or comparable school-based behavioral support role
  • Demonstrated proficiency in conducting FBAs and designing BIPs
  • Background supporting students with behavioral and social-emotional challenges
  • Strong skills in research-based, data-driven behavioral interventions
  • Preference for individuals with BCBA certification, school psychology, social work, or school counseling licensure
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and training abilities with school teams, staff, and families

Role Responsibilities:

  • Itinerant support across multiple school districts for K-12 students
  • Engage in direct observation and assessment to inform targeted interventions
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior plans to promote positive student outcomes
  • Provide training, consultation, and crisis intervention support for staff and parents
  • Document progress, collect data, and adjust interventions as needed
  • Remain current on best practices in the field and support staff professional development
