Join a hospital team in Chester, VA as a Computed Tomography Technologist. You will perform CT and X-ray imaging for emergency department and outpatient patients, operate GE CT and GE X-ray equipment, administer contrast when indicated, and follow established radiation safety and patient care protocols. You will work independently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with licensed practitioners to ensure accurate imaging and patient safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

\n

• Current ARRT certification required.
• Valid Virginia radiologic technologist license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of combined CT and X-ray clinical experience required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care required.
• Emergency department (ED) experience required.
• Experience operating GE CT and GE X-ray equipment required.
• Ability to work independently and manage variable scan volumes.

Preferred Qualifications:

\n

• Experience with IV contrast administration preferred.
• EPIC, PACS, or RIS experience preferred.
• Additional modality certifications (CT, XR or other ARRT modalities) preferred.

Assignment Details

\n

• Shift: Weekend night schedule with hours 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM.
• Workdays include Friday through Sunday scheduling as part of the weekend rotation.
• Call requirement: approximately 3 times per month.
• Requirement to work every other major holiday.
• Must be prepared to participate in ITO interviews; hiring manager conducts second interview.

Impacting Patient Care

\n

You will deliver imaging services that support acute and outpatient diagnosis and treatment. In this role you will ensure radiation protection, verify patient identification, obtain relevant clinical history and lab values, monitor patient condition during procedures, and communicate findings and patient status to the care team. The position may require working across multiple departments and managing periods of high stress or fluctuating workloads.
