Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Fort Morgan, Colorado.

Unit L&D/PP/MB - SEH.
\n# L&D Beds 4 LDRP.
\n# OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections? 1.
\n# Triage beds 2.
\n# Postpartum beds 3.
\n# Births per day? Month? Year? 0-2 per day, about 200 per year.
\nDo you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios? As much as possible for a rural hospital.
\nRequired Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) ALS, NRP, AWHONN EFM.
\nCommon diagnoses/Types of patients Pregnant women, newborns, gyn surgical.
\nExperience or 'Must have' skills Must have 1 year of L&D experience and be trained in LDRP.
\nMust be able to triage and function as the baby catcher/transition nurse.
\nCandidates do not need to be able to circulate C-sections or manage post op GYN patients.
\nAre RNs required to titrate drips? Yes.
\nCommon titratable &/or set rate drips Pitocin.
\nWeekend Requirements Half of all weekends (F,S,S).
\nHoliday Requirements Yes, half of winter holidays.
\nIs there a call or standby requirement? no.
\nFloating Requirements? helping hands to medsurg (rare).
\nScrub Color/Dress code Scrubs are not provided; no color requirement.
\nUnit/Department specific orientation 3 days.
