American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a multi-modality radiology role in an acute care hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT certifications in CT, MRI, and Radiologic Technology.
Details- Acute care hospital radiology department covering CT, MRI, and X-ray modalities
- Department is equipped with 2 scanners: GE and Siemens Somatom CT scanners, Carestream XR, and a Siemens Aera MRI
- Common imaging studies include panoramic (PAN), head, and abdominal imaging
- Average of 20 scans/studies per day
- Charting via Epic; PACS system is Synapse
- Primary assignment in CT with regular coverage for MRI (primary float) and X-ray duties
- 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, with some call required
- CT shifts may rotate between days or nights; MRI and X-ray shifts are days
- On-call required for MRI with a 30-minute response time
- Weekend and holiday coverage required
- 13-week contract
- Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience required
- Trauma experience required
- Active ARRT certifications required: ARRT (R), ARRT (CT), and ARRT (MR)
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Experience with GE and Siemens CT equipment
- IV insertion skills required
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred; Synapse PACS experience a plus
- Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable — pending licenses not accepted
- Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility (Colorado radius rule); a valid driver's license is required for consideration
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Perform CT, MRI, and X-ray imaging studies including panoramic, head, and abdominal scans
- Radiologists are on-site 2 days per week; RRAs are used on occasion
- Department orientation is provided; candidates must be in-state for the orientation week even if initial modules are completed remotely
- Black scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
- A traveler radiation badge must be provided by the agency
- Travelers are expected to float within the zone they are hired into and must secure housing that supports this requirement
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates placed PRN through outside firms will be considered
